How to Add Your Business Card to Apple Wallet and Google Wallet
Step by step: add your BCard business card to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet, what the pass shows, how to share it from your phone and how to fix common issues.

Your phone's wallet already holds the things you reach for most: bank cards, boarding passes, event tickets. Adding your business card there means it is one swipe away when someone in a meeting in Doha asks for your contact, even if you cannot remember where you saved your card link.
This guide shows how to add your BCard business card to Apple Wallet on iPhone and Google Wallet on Android, what the pass shows, how to share it and what to check if something does not work.
What a business card wallet pass is
A wallet pass is a small card that lives inside Apple Wallet or Google Wallet. A BCard pass shows two things:
- Your name, so you can recognise it instantly among your other cards.
- A QR code that opens your live digital business card.
When someone scans that QR code with their phone camera, your full BCard page opens in their browser, with your photo, title, company, contact buttons and links, and they can save you to their contacts in one tap.
It is important to be clear about what the pass is not. The pass is a quick way to show your QR code. It is not a full copy of your profile stored on the phone, and it does not replace your digital card. The person who scans it needs an internet connection to open your page.
Before you start
You need three things:
- A BCard account with a card. If you do not have one yet, register and create your card. It takes a few minutes.
- A paid plan. Apple Wallet and Google Wallet passes are included in the Pro and Agency plans. The Free plan includes a QR code for your card but not wallet passes. You can compare plans on the pricing page.
- The right phone and browser. An iPhone with the Wallet app, using Safari, or an Android phone with Google Wallet installed, using Chrome.
How to add your business card to Apple Wallet (iPhone)
- Open your card on your iPhone. Sign in to your BCard account in Safari and open the card you want to add.
- Press Add to Wallet. You will find the Add to Wallet option on your card in your account.
- Review the pass. iPhone shows a preview of the pass with your name and QR code.
- Confirm. Tap Add in the top corner of the preview. The pass is saved to Apple Wallet.
- Check it. Open the Wallet app. Your business card pass now sits alongside your other cards and passes.
That is all. You do not need to install a separate app.
How to add your business card to Google Wallet (Android)
- Open your card on your Android phone. Sign in to your BCard account in Chrome and open your card.
- Press Add to Wallet. Choose the Google Wallet option.
- Confirm on the phone. Google Wallet shows the pass. Tap Save to add it.
- Check it. Open Google Wallet and find your business card pass in your list.
Please note that BCard supports Apple Wallet and Google Wallet. Samsung Wallet is not supported, so on Samsung phones use Google Wallet.
How to share your business card from the wallet
Once the pass is in your wallet, sharing your contact at a meeting or event takes a few seconds:
- Open Apple Wallet or Google Wallet. On iPhone you can also double-click the side button, depending on your settings.
- Tap your BCard pass so the QR code shows full size.
- Turn the screen towards the other person and let them scan the QR code with their camera.
- Your live business card opens on their phone, ready to save.
A few practical tips:
- Turn up the screen brightness if the room is dark, so the camera can read the code quickly.
- Hold the phone steady and at a comfortable distance, about the length of a hand.
- If the other person prefers a tap, an NFC card does the same job without unlocking your phone. You can read about it on our NFC business card in Qatar page.
What happens when you change your details?
The QR code on your pass opens your live BCard page. So when you update your title, phone number, photo or links in your BCard account, people who scan the pass see your current details on the page.
The pass itself is a separate item in your wallet and you should not expect it to refresh by itself. If you change something that is printed on the pass, such as your name, remove the old pass from your wallet and add it again using the steps above.
Troubleshooting
The Add to Wallet button does nothing on iPhone
- Make sure you are using Safari. Some other browsers and in-app browsers (for example, a link opened inside a social media or messaging app) may not hand the pass over to Apple Wallet. Open the page in Safari and try again.
- Check that the Wallet app is on your iPhone. If you removed it, reinstall it from the App Store.
The pass does not save on Android
- Use Chrome rather than an in-app browser.
- Make sure Google Wallet is installed and that you are signed in to a Google account on the phone.
- Check that Google Wallet is available and set up on your device.
I do not see the Add to Wallet option
- Wallet passes are part of the Pro and Agency plans. If you are on the Free plan, the option is not available. See pricing for details.
- Make sure you are signed in to the BCard account that owns the card.
The other person cannot open my card after scanning
- Their phone needs a mobile data or Wi-Fi connection to open your page.
- Ask them to use the phone's normal camera app. Most recent iPhones and Android phones read QR codes directly from the camera.
Wallet pass, QR code or NFC card: which should you use?
They work well together:
- Wallet pass: fastest way to show your QR code from your own phone. Included in paid plans.
- QR code: available for every card, including on the Free plan. Download it as PNG or SVG, choose a custom colour and place it on slides, signatures, stands or printed material. Learn more on our QR code business card page.
- NFC card: a physical black card with your branding that people tap with their phone. Useful when you want to hand over something tangible.
